Terms of service

Who we are

This store is operated by ALBOR, a family coffee grower and roaster based in Marsella, Risaralda, Colombia. Throughout these terms, “we”, “us” and “ALBOR” mean that business, and “you” means the person using this store.

Accepting these terms

By browsing this store, placing an order or creating an account, you accept these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the store. We recommend you read them together with our privacy policy, our shipping policy and our refund policy, which form part of the same agreement.

Who can order

You must be legally able to enter into a binding contract in your country of residence. If you are ordering on behalf of a business, you confirm that you are authorised to do so.

Our coffee

We sell single-origin coffee, roasted in small batches. Harvests vary: the profile of a lot changes from one crop to the next, and a lot that sells out may not return. Photographs and descriptions are as accurate as we can make them, but the colour of a roast or a bag on your screen may differ slightly from the product in your hands.

Prices and currency

Prices are shown and charged in US dollars (USD). We may change prices at any time, but never after you have placed an order. Prices do not include duties, taxes or customs charges in a destination outside Colombia; those are covered in our shipping policy.

Orders

Placing an order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we confirm the order and dispatch it. We may decline or cancel an order — and will refund it in full — if the product is unavailable, if there is an evident error in the price or description, or if we suspect fraudulent use of a payment method. If that happens, we will tell you why.

Payment

Payment is taken at checkout through a certified payment gateway. ALBOR does not see, process or store your card details. The available payment methods are the ones shown to you at checkout.

Shipping, withdrawal and warranty

Delivery, transit, customs and address changes are covered by our shipping policy. Your right of withdrawal, the legal warranty, payment reversal and the procedure for damaged or incorrect orders are covered by our refund policy. Both form part of these terms, and neither limits the rights Colombian consumer law grants you.

Wholesale and business supply

Supply to cafés, hotels, restaurants, roasters and distributors is agreed separately, in writing, and is governed by that agreement. Where it differs from these terms, the agreement takes precedence for that relationship.

Your account

If you create an account, you are responsible for keeping your credentials confidential and for the activity that takes place under it. Tell us promptly if you believe someone else has access to it.

Using the store

You agree not to use this store for any unlawful purpose, not to attempt to gain unauthorised access to it or to any system connected to it, and not to interfere with its operation or with other people’s use of it.

Our content

The name ALBOR, the logo, the photographs, the texts and the design of this store belong to us or are used with permission, and may not be reproduced or used commercially without our written consent. You are welcome to share links to the store and to quote it with attribution.

Links to other sites

Where the store links to a site we do not operate, we are not responsible for its content, its terms or its privacy practices. Those are between you and that site.

Liability

We are responsible for our coffee and for fulfilling your order under the terms described here and under the legal warranty. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that the law does not allow us to exclude or limit, including the rights consumers have under Ley 1480 de 2011.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes in what we do or in what the law requires. The version published on this page at the moment you place an order is the version that governs that order.

Governing law and disputes

These terms are governed by the law of the Republic of Colombia. If something goes wrong, write to us first — most things are resolved that way. If a consumer claim is not resolved to your satisfaction, you may take it to the Superintendencia de Industria y Comercio, which oversees consumer protection in Colombia.

Contact

Write to us through our contact page. We reply Monday to Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. (Colombia time).
